There are several pieces to this assignment. You will work alone in with one other person.
Required Components - You must do all of these
1. Edit the wikipage for your topic (already created with some preliminary website resources) - 25 points
Define the issue as it concerns the production, processing, or consumption of food
Explain the Environmental effects of the issue
Explain the Economic effects of the issue
Explain the Ethical effects of the issue
2. Vocabulary list - a defined list of 5-8 words that relate specifically to your topic.- 10 points
The words and definitions should be entered on your wikipage.
You will create a Quizlet for your vocabulary and link it on your wikipage
3. Provide media to illustrate your topic - 10 points
Insert images (cited!) on your wikipage
Embed short movie clips (YouTube, Vimeo, etc) on your wikipage (Use the widget, other html function)
Collect images and use iMovie, PhotoStory, or Animoto to turn them into a slideshow or movie
There should be at least three visual media illustrations
4. Bibliography - 10 points
Bibliography at the bottom of your page in MLA format
At least 4 different websites cited in addition to those provided.
If the websites that are provided are used, they should be cited, otherwise, they should be deleted.
Extra Credit
- informational brochure about your topic, suitable for publication
- informational podcast, suitable for broadcast during announcements - Click here for How to do a Podcast
- informational poster, suitable for display
- an experiment or demonstration (this is required for the Home Gardening topic, optional for others)
- an interview with a scientist or practitioner involved with your topic (possible extra credit involved here) published as a podcast or a paper or on your wikipage (email interview? phone interview?)
